We’re excited to provide one of Bulgaria’s longest ski days at Borovets Resort. This is a great opportunity for those of you who arrive in resort in the early afternoon hours and are impatient to go on the slopes on the same day. Night skiing is your opportunity to extend the skiing day with a few hours. It is is a different emotion not be missed even by those who prefer traditional day skiing.
Night skiing is running every day from 18:00 hrs to 21:30 hrs. Ski & Board Traventuria is providing lift passes & hire of ski/snowboard and boots. These are to be collected from Ski & Board Traventuria rental shop situated in hotel ELA (just opposite Hotel Samokov, by the Gondola). The lit up slopes in Borovets are: Martinovi Baraki 2, 3 & 4, Rila, Iglika & Rotata. Night skiing is suitable for early intermediate, intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders.
Useful tips:
– Dress warmly – Dress in layers and plan on at least ten degrees colder when the sun goes down – not counting the wind factor.
– Ski with a friend – Even though the skiable terrain is well lit, the nearby woods are not, and you always want someone to know where you are.
– Don’t drink and ski – It may be party time in the lodge, but day or night, don’t drink alcohol and ski.
