Skiing downhill is similar to alpine skiing, and special ‘skins’ that prevent you from sliding backwards are attached to the bottom of the ski for climbing.

Skiing downhill with touring skis is similar to alpine skiing while the climbing technique is more challenging to master and demands excellent physical condition.

The most exciting part when you do ski touring is in finding the best snow and the most rewarding descents. Although it is not mainstream, ski touring is possible everywhere with enough snow.
